Whether you are wanting to see a Speech Pathologist, Psychologist or a Developmental Educator, the charges for an initial assessment and therapy may vary depending on the nature of your concerns.
Our therapists spend considerable time on preparation before your initial appointment therefore if you cancel at short notice or not arrive at all we may charge a fee as described below –
For Fee Paying Clients, we may ask you for a 20% non-refundable deposit for your initial assessment especially during times when we have a waitlist and there is a lot of demand on the practice.
For clients with a Medicare GP referred Care Plan (Speech Pathology) or a Mental Health Care Plan (Psychology) we will require you to give us your Medicare number in advance of your appointment. We do not bulk bill these appointments so please enquire about the gap, in particular if a new assessment is required. Payment can be taken on the day and you can get an immediate refund into your account from Medicare.
For NDIS clients we always make a service agreement with you to ensure that your funds and client controlled decision making processes are respected. We will ask you to sign a service agreement for the initial appointment so that we can claim against your plan should you cancel your session without sufficient notice.
